I haven't seen the skeptic's dictionary or the National Geographic site, so I'm going to check them out. It is interesting that the National Geographic Channel has started showing the doomsday programs, yet they have a site with a debunking of the doomsday hoax.

I'm one of the people often referred to as "a damned skeptic".
I also think that this 2012 bollocks has gone far enough, people are getting worked up and scared, because a few people want to make a quick buck on those that either are young, naive, impressionable or lacking an understanding of science. Yep, it's allways the same thing that it comes down to, greedy people that want easy money.

This site is great and shows that enough people care and want to get the truth out there. I can only aplaude the effort. If you want some other great sites that explain the 2012 situation, here are a few good ones :
