There are no so-called "prophecies" from the Maya, Hopi or any culture that say anything about the world ending in 2012. It's all made up. People who claim otherwise are either misinformed or, worse, have an agenda that does not include the accurate relaying of information. If you've heard any specific claims that concern you, odds are they are debunked on this site.

You needn't worry about the world ending in 2012. It was all made up by modern day lunatics and hoaxers. The Hopi didn't make any such prophecy and neither did the Maya. There are pages covering both of these. Just click on the subject you want to know about in the pages listed at the left side of this page.
There is absolutely nothing real to suggest that 2012 will be anything other than an ordinary year.
Take a look at the Guest Views toward the bottom of the list. Several famous Astronomers and Astrophysicists have made very definite statements that nothing is going to happen.
