It's said that perhaps this planet (Planet X/Nibiru whatever) could only be seen in sunset or at sunrise, (which sounds quite stupid to be honest). But ísn't this a hypothetically possible scenario?

At the size Nibiru is claimed to be, unlikely. It might be possible for a short time, but as we've discussed before, the planet will move and Earth will move. Nibiru/Planet X can't play a constant game of peek-a-boo, only appearing on YouTube in grainy camera-phone videos shot by believers, and it can't enter "stealth mode" by turning its gravitational influence off.

I mean, Venus can only be seen (by the naked eye) just after sunsets and before sunrises.

That simply is not true. Mercury, on the other hand, can be hard to see due to its short distance from the Sun, and consequently it shows up best near twilight and dawn. Nonetheless, it is still plainly visible, and Nibiru is claimed to be many times Mercury's size. To claim that Nibiru can behave like Mercury would require it to be in a Mercury-like orbit, which is problematic for proponents in ways that should be obvious.

Is the only "evidence" of this planets existence Lieders contacts with aliens and Sitchins misinterpretations of Mayan texts?

Pretty much, to whatever extent it can be called "evidence" at all.

I know that Sedna has a rather elliptic orbit, possibly due to interactions with an other object, but this planet (PX/Nibiru) is supposed to have an orbit of 3600 years and pass by and wreak havoc within that timespan.

Even as eccentric as Sedna's orbit is, the purported orbit of Nibiru is far more so. See this discussion (scroll down to "Orbit" thread, near bottom).

Wouldn't we see any evidence of this for 3600 years ago if that was the case?

If such an event occurred 3,600 years ago, we quite possibly wouldn't be here to worry about it, which is something Nibiru proponents can't seem to wrap their heads around. Our nice, orderly inner Solar System would not exist as it does with such an object hurtling through every few millennia.

If you know where to look, Venus can be seen in the middle of the day, (at it's best, it can look like this for example) it's just obviously easier when the Sun isn't in the sky alongside it.

Something would then of course be easier to spot when we don't have to fight with the Sun, but pretty darn impossible to only appear at those times - after all, sunset for you may not be sunset for me. Big planet this, on our human scale at least.

Isn't this whole idea flawed, to say the least, with self-contradictions? To my limited knowledge there's only one significant "event" that took place aprox. 3600 years ago, and that was a rather large volcanic erruption (note, not a global extinction).

I was once again thinking about all these second sun videos, and have one VERY hypothetical question. Please observe that I don't suggest that there is a planet that have passed by all astronomers in the world unnoticed. I'm just asking if this is even a hypothetical possibility

Furthermore, do any of you guys know the link to a site that dealt with all those second sun videos (debunked them)? I have a slight recollection of this being done at baut.com or something like that, but I can't manage to find it.

my biggest problem with this site is my own bandwidth. I simply have too many "real life" things to do for me to attend to every topic. Anyone who would like to join this wiki and contribute is free to do so. Even just filling in a set of questions to be answered would be a help.

The best way I can think to debunk it is ask, "If there is a second sun, why isn't being reported by CNN, Reuters, AP, MSNBC, NHK, Yahoo News, etc., because, if what the video shows is accurate, it would be seen by hundreds of millions of people. No government on Earth could ever hope to silence that many people."

Thank you, it would be nice to see some debunking on this subject since it's "the first contact" with Nibiru/Planet X for many people. At least to my knowledge, not many people had even heard about Nibiru before they found all these second sun videos (or other similiar ones) on Youtube. I would really like to help with this, but I doubt that I actually could contribute with all that much help (since my understanding about both astronomy and digital artifacts is quite limited). But if there is some way that you think that I could be able to help, just let me know and I will do my best

I was browsing through this site for my daily fix of counter arguements to all the 2012 hysteria and noticed that there are some "aspects" of the whole phenomena that perhaps could be covered (in addition to the articles at hand). One thing that I personally really would like to see is a thourough debunking of the s**t load of two suns videos at Youtube (perhaps demonstrating how they can be done or what they can be (the most typicall videos, that is). I've opened up the discussion about these videos, and photos, in several occasions and have gotten some really good answers. And the answers explaining why it's impossible for us to see two suns in real life (without feeling the effects of the other planet) were particullarly good, since they challanged the logic behind the two suns videos. These answers could perhaps be compiled to an article of it's own?

Another aspect that would be nice to see an article on is the infamous Project scam… eh sorry, Camelot and a debunking of them and their claims. I don't know if this is something of interrest to others, but I feel that since Youtube overflows with crap nowadays it could be good to adress at least some claims made there. Other than that, great job on this site. Hope you know that you actually do make a difference, even if the occasional crackpot comes along and claims otherwise. So, thank you
