If you read the brief letters at these two links (1, 2), you'll see that I'm not unsympathetic to their views. However, their own behavior gives little reason to put our trust in them.

The world is not in dire straits, at least no more than at any other time in human history. Shielding children? Absolutely not, at one point or, another, they are going to encounter something that stops them in their tracks and leaves them scratching their heads. However we're simply stepping up and helping them get passed this 2012 nonsense and give them the facts, rather than a handful of misleading stories.
