These interactions are registered at several underground neutrino observatories.
Several such events were registered in February of 1987 from Supernova SN 1987A.
Another interesting fact is the registered deficit of solar neutrino, coming from the Sun. This deficit of registered neutrino had led some physicist to the idea about oscillations of neutrino from one sort into another sort. Different sorts of neutrino differently interacts with ordinary matter. The cross section of such interactions greatly depends from the energy of neutrino too.

I speak about neutrino interactions here because physicist can discover, if dangerous droplets were created at p-p collisions, or were not created yet. The moment of this discovery can be, for example, at the first month after a swarm of dangerous droplets creation, if this swarm needs a year in order to ruin the Earth completely. The basic neutrino type is sort of like an electron, but it has zero charge. There are other types which may have mass. Because the neutrinos have no charge, they do not interact via the electromagnetic force, and can only interact by the very short-range weak nuclear force, or (for those types which carry mass) by the weakest force of all, gravity.

They travel immense distances through other substances, even solid rock, without interacting with anything.

Gorelik's claim that neutrinos frequently interact with each other therefore seems rather suspect.

1. Interactions between neutrino and matter, but not between neutrinos.

2. Yes, these interactions are very weak, but sufficient in order to register the creation of dangerous droplets at the early stage of Earth explosion. The explosion lasts about 100-1000 days.

3. Moo is very weak opponent and he needs meds because he cries his wrong poor knowledge in CAPs.

You know me better than that. I try to keep the forums as open as possible. The best thing that can happen is for Gorelik to say his piece and have his ideas soundly thrashed yet again. As I said, I considered removing his post because of the fear that it might cause, but the issue is that we need to address all of the 2012 rumors, even the ones that seem facile, inane and pointless. For example, I was recently asked if we could do a page debunking the 'zombie apocalypse' idea. At first I rejected it, but I got to thinking that this is actually something that some people will be worried about.

There has already been one reported case of LHC related suicide that I know of - Chayya Lal, a 16 year old Indian girl was traumatized by TV programs spouting nonsense about the end of the world, and despite her parents telling her there was no need to worry, she drank a pesticide from her fathers farm.

She was in such a state that she thought suicide was the answer. I don't even have to know you, Ivan, to know that it is people like you who cause this line of thought to go through peoples minds. We do not know some values, first of all, the cross-section of dangerous droplets creation in p-p collisions.

Let's try three cases:

1. LHC makes 1 000 000 droplets per second and was stopped on the next day. Then in a one day of its work it will make 100 000 000 000 droplets.
I switch on my program and i can see, that the Earth will be ruined in 6 days.

2. LHC made only 1 000 000 droplets and was stopped. I switch on my program and i can see, that the Earth will be ruined in 268 days.

3. LHC made only 1 droplet and was stopped. I switch on my program and i can see, that the Earth will be ruined in 74 years.

If you switch on my program, you will see some other unknown parameters. I you switch on your brain, you will understand, that there is a very big probability, that we already are doomed to die in the period from 2010 to 2013.

So, the person with three years of intense training vs. guy with one. I'll let you pick who to believe.

If we had online internet information about neutrino flux, we would have the possibility to know about: if the dangerous droplets were created, or were not created yet. And more: we would be able to say - what was created: a flock of microscopic magnetic holes, or a flock of strangelets.

Notes:
1. At the last stage, before the Earth would be turned into a swarm of new comets and asteroids, the heat power, emitted at the process of matter transformation on the droplets, will be only ten times less, than the luminosity of Sun. Consequently, at that time the flux of neutrino, penetrating through us, will be bigger by 0.1(R/r)^2 times; where: R - radius of Earth's orbit; r - Earth's radius.
2. The rate of droplet's mass growth is defined by the law of parabola.

Unifying 1 and 2, we can come to conclusion that physicists can know about dangerous droplets creation at the very beginning of their growth. But that knowledge will non help - it is impossible to stop the droplet's growth; it is impossible to ruin them. Droplets will inevitably explode the Earth.
