Even I know (as a rank novice and complete layperson when it comes to anthropology and archaeology) that the Maya inherited their calendars from a prior civilization, and that is what the actual scholars think. The pamphlet, on the other hand, is loaded with all of the waffle-worded platitudes… "… many scholars believe…" etc.

And hey, that isn't a "Mayan flute" the guy is playing! That's a recorder! The only authentic Mayan flute is the Ocarina!
