I agree, as I said below, in spite of not giving his claims any merit, I was willing to at least hear him out, until he started his one-man crusade against CERN in these forums, but when he targeted people who were scared to death of these claims, that's when I drew the line.

You may have seen in the other thread that I actually reported Gorelik to the FBI because of what he said there, which I interpreted in the context of certain statements from his own website. I'm not going to give you the link again, or quote the statements. In short, Gorelik believes that those who don't support him deserve to die.

I believe I've gone far enough out on a limb to have the right to speak frankly to you. Gorelik seems to be a psychopath who's so grandiose that he'd rather have the whole human race perish than have to live (himself) with being proven wrong.

I was willing to actually listen to Gorelik, until he started intentionally trying to spread fear in the other thread by telling people to be prepared to die, etc. that's when I drew the line of trying to be nice.

Like the others have already said, Jessica, ignore him and move on.
Think of him as an annoying advertisement banner, he's flashy, he's somewhat persuasive, but in the end, he's full of it.

Brian gave an hour or two talk at TAM London about science and skepticism, including the LHC and what goes on, what they're looking for, so on and so forth. The event was full of skeptics, and like minded people tend to have a like minded sense of humour - when interviewed by a skeptic who already knows the answer to the question he's about to ask, and who's doing a video for a skeptic audience who also most likely know the answer to the question, what does a like minded skeptic like Brian Cox quip? He quips the obviously wrong, sarcastic answer of 'Yes'.
