And if there ever is, the Internet as we know it is toast. I'd rather deal with some doomsayers and unwanted porn on YouTube, over dealing with more government on top of too much already.

The Internet should be more heavily moderated by parents before letting their kids view it, in that example you give. If you haven't put in the work to protect your kids from viewing adult content, why should the rest of the Internet do it for you?

As to why people complain about pornography and not eschatology, those same people might be in support of the end times in the first place. People can have strange morals sometimes, where something benign is totally unacceptable, but something horrendous is simply 'God's will' or whatever.

Ultimately the Internet is, in an ideal world, free and open for people to do what they want with it. Might not like some people do with it, they might break a few laws and have a legitimate reason to not be on the Internet, you might even go so far as to campaign against what some people do with it, but there simply cannot be an Internet police to do it for you.
