Oh, and to Diesel. I have my good and bad days. There are days when I can see right through it, and then there are days where I have trouble. The thing that keeps me going is the fact that even if the core of the Earth could start spinning the other way, it accounts for very little of the Earth's mass. The rest of the mantle and crust would slow quite a bit, but not stop and spin the other way. There isn't enough mass to overcome the rest of the mantle. Although, I'm sure you could somehow say that this accounts for the Earth slowing down rather than angular momentum from the moon. That would be a lot more believable than stopping and spinning the other way.

So how did the Olmec calculate this 365.2420 days year? Which is 365.256363004 in reality.

According to my calculation 365.256363004 - 365.2420 = 0.014363. Not 0.0002

The guy who did a documentary on him thinks he really believes in his claim. That he is very sincere and thinks that this is all going to happen.

Some others watch him do videos like Project Camelot and think that he is very good a creating an elaborate hoax to get money. Which means, despite having to be completely screwed up, you would also have to be a good business man to get away with it without being completely shot down.

I see both of those sides sometimes. I watched his documentary and thought "man, this guy is not all there" and then I read some of the articles that he has read and think "well, if he read this then he apparently understands what the sun is and isn't capable of. So he must not actually believe what he is saying." So he is very hard to figure out completely, and its something I desire to do which just frustrates me further.

Either he has no clue what the sources mean.
Or he knows what it means and that would mean he is willingly scamming people and a crook.

You simply can't keep on believing any of the dooms day scenarios if you have basic school match and went to physics class. I mean a 15 year old can debunk any 2012 hoax with simple physics he just learned in school.

And you don't need a lot of maths, just +,-,x,/, square root and quadratic. That is it.

Its funny how they are from actually legitimate sources. The Stanford link is what really amazes me though. They used words like "mysteriously" and "giant loops" to describe things. But I still don't see how Patrick can read these sources, and still think his claim is correct and that the Maya could predict it. And I am having trouble understanding how the Stanford quotation has anything to do with this solar maximum being different from any other. Did he think that Kosovichev meant that this is unique to this cycle?

The code of the Mayan calendar was cracked by Ernst Forstemann, a German scholar who was working at the Dresden library.

How is the Maya calendar a code? It counts days. No? Seems simple enough to me, I doubt Ernst "cracked" it.

What you fail to mention, or avoid it because it doesn't fit your claim, is that if there was a sudden crust displacement we should have seen an extinction of all mammal species, including humans. Even Hapgood states his claim would take 5,000 years to accomplish, why do you ignore this?

The only thing mentioned about the magnetic field around that time period is an excursion found in one location of volcanic rocks. What do rock formations have to do with the magnetic field? I'm assuming you dont understand what you are talking about here.

You must also try and explain why the data (that I have read) suggests that the "sudden" climate change only took place in the northern hemisphere.

Can you please account for the varying ages and dates of the Mammoths freezing? Can you provide a mechanism for how this "rapid axis shift" took place? Also, will you provide credible evidence to summer-type vegetation being found in the mouths of these frozen Mammoths?

As for the earth's atmosphere, areas as high as 20 and 75 Km up have been measured to reach well below, minus -80 degrees C by Meterologists. If there was a sudden axis shift - most likely to occur at the solstice periods - and these Mammoths were in the right location to avoid tsunami washout, the temperatures could easily drop to such extremes forming a new polar region.

First of all if the "pole shit" was gonna happen like I have been spammed with info about by them then why the hell does the ice melting matter? They talk about by 2100 the Earth being 4 degrees warmer causing sea level to rise 6 meters, yet I say again if the thing they yell about was going to happen then WHY DOES THIS MATTER?! It says here "with the Arctic at least as warm as it was more than 100000 years ago." So they say it was warmer 100,000 years ago with higher sea levels yet at the same times in claims of certain people they like to "support" the freaking Antarctic wasn't an ice sheet or the North Pole a mere 11,000 years ago, you know when Atlantis supposedly got under it? Lol… Oh but they have evidence going back 100,000 years ago about a warm period in the ice of Antartica…. Not adding up for you either? They contradict themselves SO much. /facepalm

The correlation between the Egyptians and Maya is simply Atlantis rehash that arguably started with Ignatious Donnelly. He compared them because they both used pyramids and had some other similarities. Graham Hancock credits him in the intro to Finger Prints of the Gods.

I'll try to review both books some more next week. My little one is turning one tomorrow, so I haven't had much time.

The Egyptians never mentioned the year 2012 as a great year whatsoever. And there is no evidence of any contact between egyptians and the maya, obviously. So, this is another baseless claim. I created a page about these claims some days ago.

Some astronomers believe that the solar cycle can change the climate on Earth, and is one of the reasons of the Global Warming. But I don't know if they're right, but that's a theory.

Thanks ahead of time for answers. I might have some more, but those are just a few that have been on my mind.

As far as the evidence against it, I'm not sure. Like I said in my last post I am a visual guy, I want to see how its not possible. Just like I want to see that he is crazy for myself. The video that Jason linked before was helpful, you can kind of tell that he has some mental problems.

Its also nice to see that we have full skull structure of human evolution 100s of thousands of years old. If these things happen every 11,000 years than there is no way we would have a full skull put together. Even if the bones still existed, they would be spread everywhere and would be easy to tell that it had been through hell and back. Not to mention there would be layers of volcanic ash everywhere if the sky was black every 11,000 years as Geryl claims.

I don't know if I will ever be able to accept conclusions that are held up by CME's, Magnetic Fields, and the Earth's internal structure…because I can't see them for myself, I just have to take people's words for it. Then, of course, the "what if" they are wrong? part

towards 2012, should at least raise curiosity if
not massive concern!

Its like it has a personality! New theory: Our earth's core is actually it's brain. It is sending electric signals to Niburu and attracting the drivers of the Niburu planetship to run into us, but it will veer off course once they realize we are in it's path. Then the sun will erupt violently because of the massive body so close to the sun, spraying the Earth with plasma that causes the brain to go into a siezure. Its a suicide mission!
