The article indicates that people at high latitudes (farther north) should be able to see them. I doubt if I will here in Northern Missouri. They just meant that the Aurora Australis (southern lights) would be better than the Aurora Borealis because it's winter there.

I'm curious. Will we be able to see them well in the northern hemisphere since its summer? And if so, what's the best time to look? The article you linked to said they would be most visible in the southern hemisphere but I have only seen auoras one time before and would love to see them again. I hope I get to. Thank you for the information.

We will have some fun when this CME comes bye.
They have this cool prediction model to see how the CME will behave. :-)
