I went to Colorado Springs for an interview in 1996, when I was writing my novel (which I never did anything with). I had used the NORAD base there in the book. While there, I realized that I might have an opportunity to tour it in order to add some realistic flavor to the parts about it in the book. Unfortunately, at that time, the waiting list time for tours was 6 months, so I didn't get to see it. I drove up on Cheyenne Mountain and I went looking for the entrance, but the road was for authorized personnel only. I seem to be very good at missing opportunities.

Another thing to consider is when they just take a photo and strip away the identification to make it seem scary. Here are a few things I noticed:

0:27 and 0:40 Cheyenne Mountain
2:27 Drawing (probably concept art)
2:23 generic underground tunnel with road
2:31 Soviet Era submarine base (my rare catch: I saw a video on this one, it's open to the public)

Lots of construction photos and such. Yawn.

Very often, conspiracy theorists will take something and assign a 2012-based reason to it, thereby making it insidious.

Underground base = normal
Underground base FOR SURVIVING 2012 = insidious

Telescope = normal
Telescope FOR TRACKING NIBIRU = insidious

See how easy it is? They just say it's for 2012, for Nibiru, or any of that nonsense, and act like this proves something. It does not. The reason they engage in these sorts of indirect 'proofs' is they lack real, direct evidence for their claims.

I didn't watch the video, but nearly everyone knows about the NORAD base under Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado. It has been there since 1958. It is one of the underground facilities built during the Cold War and has absolutely nothing to do with 2012.

Do underground military bases exist? Yes.

Do they have anything to do with 2012, human extermination plans by governments, or the stealth approach of magical planets, brown dwarfs, comets or asteroids that will destroy our planet? No.
