But on a serious note, it really is a rather spectacular day. Aside all the stupid nonsense about the end of the world that has really taken the significance of today down a few notches.
We are here to witness the end of the long count calendar that belonged to a truly spectacular civilization that existed thousands of years before our own.
It's a shame that most can't enjoy today for what it really is.
