-According to the doomies, by this time we were all to have been rotting in FEMA camps in the wake of a engineered total financial collapse, ruled over by a newly mustachioed ÜberFürher Obama. So far, so good…Why? Because FEMA camps never existed in the first place!

-A 911-scale false flag event(ofc many of the more conspiratorial doomtards believe that 911 was an inside job!), widely predicted by doomsayers, such as a massive internet hacking by the Illuminati posing as terrorists, the destruction of the outdated carrier U.S.S. Enterpise in the Persian Gulf, or the explosion of a nuclear weapon during the London Olympic Games, did not take place. Why? because they were never thought of in the first place!

-Niburu (whatever that was supposed to be exactly) did not come blundering into our orbit, spelling the end of civilization. Because it, and the so-called "aliens" living on it did not exist! If it did it would have been seen in the sky

-A Carrington Event-class X-solar flare or CME did not return us to the Stone Age, and the satellite grid continues to make cell phones, the internet, and global electronic banking possible.

-Tsunamis, megaquakes, and phony alien invasions – all featured as so-called "highly likely" 2012 catastrophes – did not occur, and humanity continues to somehow manage to survive as a living (if screwed up) conscious being of dazzling variety. Why? because these disasters were not likely at all. I bet the doomies used the Japanese Earthquake last year and Hurricane Sandy this year as a precedent(in fact, they were posting fake pictures hyping up the "Frankenstorm", as well as picture of New York underwater and sharks swimming in there, and indeed, it never happened at all!

-There were no Pledians, or any alien invasions by reptilians for that matter.

-No mass ascension of "good people"

-The Illuminati coup that was apparently actively planned (according to Veterans Today, a conspiracy website) that would have lead to a second civil war did not take place, probably because there wasn't one actively planned in the first place.

2. 7 is a lucky number all over the world… and according to the Chinese Zodiac, we are entering the year of the Snake, whose elemental is Fire. It's been 7 years since Fire was the element of the year. again 7 is a lucky number.

3. This was the year of the dragon. According to Master Ho, the Dragon's elemental is water. Water is fear… that is why we saw so much turmoil in 2012. Especially in the winter months (the doomsday prophecies, the shootings, the fiscal cliff.) The opposite of water is Fire, the elemental we are moving into. Fire represents happiness and hope. I remember having bouts of fear which would vary from crippling fear to slight worries and everything in between. I remember seeing tabloids in supermarkets which spoke of psychics predicting that the world is going to end soon. I even remember watching terminator 2 with my friends and upon viewing the sun destroying the world in the film (At least I think that's what happens lol) my friend says "isn't the world supposed to blow up on 2012". This sent me in one of the worst bouts of fear I've ever had, it was hard to even look at my family in fear that they would die.

Sometime after that after various bouts of fear I finally started to do some research on this issue. And it just so happens that I found this site. I read pretty much the entire site, came to it daily at one point. My fears drastically decreased. The only remaining fears I had were these hypothetical "what if the world ends anyway" scenarios (completely ridiculous I know, but it's hard to calm down the young mind when it is threatened with destruction on a planetary scale).

I came to realize why I didn't do any research on this subject beforehand. It was because I was afraid of my fears being validated. I was afraid that I would find actual scientists that would say the world was going to end.

And now that 2012 has came to past the only thing that has ended is the belief of a 2012 apocalypse. And I thought now would be the time to properly thank all of you wonderful people for allowing me to let go of these fears. You gave me my peace of mind back. You also taught me a lot about the world we live in. You also taught me that most of the people who believe in doomsday predictions are complete morons who are always wrong. I can't thank you enough.

I wish all of you administrators a Happy New Year. I hope 2013 is good to you all! :)

i was born in 1977 on the contry in denmark.. i've always been afraid.. of dangerous things i've heard.. in 1983 i started in school in first grade.. my parents could.. have me they drank night'day i also have a littel broter.. and a small sister at that time.. my brother is from 1979 and my sister 1981.. in 7th grade i hears about some ppl have clamied that the earth would end in the date blabla i cant remember which date.. in 9th grade i started making some mopeds whit my friends we drived yamaha fs1 suzuki k50… puch.. all the europans classic and japan.. yamaha was very popular in denmark in the 1970/1990 well.. in 1997 i got my big boy he is 15 today.. driving my old moped i had at that time.. in 1999 i heard about the y2k i were so afraid because.. i had that anxiety and i decided to go to the doctor 3 month later i got the diagnose conjunction disturbance they said it was because my parents.. have failure me.. when i was.. littel and i didn't got enough care when i was a littel boyi got in therapy.. 30 mins away from me and my exwifes house 2 months after i were cured of my anxiety.. it was 5 days from.. the y2k and i was so happy now i could sleep everynight whit out wake 30 times a night.. and today.. i laugh at these idiots who claim doomsday blabla… my advide to you is.. search help… i did i was cured… of my anxiety so fast.. u relaise so many things after.. sorry for my shitty english… hope it can help somebody.. who had it like me

1st of all, I would like anyone interested in being an admin on the new site to drop me a note at gro.xaoh2102|nimda#gro.xaoh2102|nimda (or gro.aibohpomsoc|nimda#gro.aibohpomsoc|nimda) with your wikidot id and email address. Anyone currently an admin or mod of this site is invited automatically, but I don't have all of your email addresses. Anyone interested in joining the site as a member and steering the future direction of the site is also invited. What I would like to do is start a semi-private conversation with you on a google group to discuss the future of the website (or websites).

In my mind there are several questions that need to be answered:

1) One new site, or multiple sites? I'm considering some advice I was given by a few people active in the science education community (specifically Ian O'Neill and Tony Darnell) regarding the future of the 2012hoax.org site and how we handle future doomsday hoaxes.
2) Direction of the new site. Specifically how 'in your face' are we going to get with various doom-mongers heading down the road. This is related to #1 above, in that we can have a 'kinder & gentler' education site under the 'Cosmophobia' banner and a more aggressive site under a different domain name.
3) Platform: I like the current platform for the main site (but I'm not married to it). I am not it so much as a forum platform. I would like to discuss everybody's feelings about this, and gather suggestions as to what we should do in this area.
4) Migration: Related to #3 above, if we stay on the current platform, the migration will be a lot easier. I would prefer to work out a way to leave the existing site untouched, and copy the relevant articles to another site or sites.
5) Roles: we have not had an organized system so far. This has served us well enough in the past, but we should talk about whether that will serve us well enough moving forward, and what kinds of roles people are interested in pursuing).

I would like to have the skeleton of the new site in place by the first of the year, so I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon.
