honestly why are some people scaring kids with this crap. It is mean & unnecesssary
Listen I'm 14 and I have anxiety and depression all the teens who have this too shouldn't have to live in fear my anxiety and depression is bad enough I hate setting it worse after I read 2012hoax.org I calmed down a bit
@Richard …
You have found a very good website for dealing with technical questions about the numerous 2012 hoax claims.
Please select any of the links down the left-hand side of the page.
You can also enter items in the search box at the top of the page, and click Search. You can then select 'Forum only' and click Search again. There are lots of discussions about the hoax claims and related subjects.
It would help a lot if you could mention '2012hoax.org' at any other forums, and mention it to any teens and kids you know of who might be concerned about the claims.
By the away, anybody who is very fearful, or very sad, or very depressed, can visit their family doctor and get a referral to a professional who will be able to guide people through their current difficulties.
We are looking forward to the end of December when all the crazy doomsayers will be looking very silly (to say the least!).

Has this been diagnosed by a professional or are you simply self diagnosing? Anxiety is a pretty general illness, but depression is quite serious, so if indeed you are feeling depressed you really should visit your doctor if you haven't already.
There is no way I can make this any more clear, a doomsday simply will not happen this year. Nothing the 2012ers say will happen as they say it will, it is complete bunk, every single last bit of it.
The great thing about science is, it's true whether you believe in it or not.
Here is another great article for kids

That was a very interesting article. Here is the only problem, the comments. Not all of them, but some people are very mean and don't give a sh*t about how these kids feel.
Truthseeker,
I know you get your jollies by coming here and trying to scare kids to death with your nonsense and am thoroughly sick of it, so I deleted your post.
Bravo alene :) we need more people like you in the world
Hello. The 7 year old on the other article about the hoax. Both he and I watched the 2012 thing on History channel. We don't know each other though. I was 10 at the time now I'm 12. I was watching Monster Quest on History channel at 12 AM it went off at 1 AM then the 2012 thing came up at 1AM I was scared so badly I wrote a goodbye note to my parents then crumbled it up. I was in tears and still shake when I hear about 2012. I know its a hoax but it scares me to death. My friend almost committed suicide because of this. She said she would rather die that way then explode. I stopped her but this nonsense has to stop! 2012 is such a stupid joke that is used to scare kids and make money! I want to do a riot on 2012!
Always good to see someone so young who is able to see through this.
Learn what you can from this site and use it to help your friends, family and anyone else who is troubled. Not to mention use it against any of the jackals who promote doomsday nonsense.

No real evidence supports 2012
Only psuedo-scientic nonsence promoted by scam artists, it all started from the mayans and a mysterio planet, and the 2012 nonsence wagon was made…

I don't know why your friend's grandfather would tell such lies. My grandfather was a Mason. My mother was a member of the Eastern Star (the women's auxiliary to the Masons), and I joined Job's daughters for a short time as a teenager. I never heard any of the NWO garbage until the conspiracy theorists started spewing it. The Masons are a fraternal organization no more sinister than the Elks or the Lions Club. The Shriners, a branch of the Masons, have the Shriners Burn Hospital. What could be more benevolent and less sinister than that?
Right now im 11 years old, and one night my brother went into wallmart , and told my mom about a movie that was coming out , and when i heard that it was about 2012 ( the end of day's. I was shaking so hard. I was so scared. ) Today i still belive that 2012 will not happen. But still the thaught of it scares the heck out of me. Just so you know this kid DID find your website. Good bye. ( untill i repost lol )
Hi Jack,
It's good to hear that you don't believe the 2012 nonsense. You shouldn't let it scare you. The people who made it all up have no scientific background at all. There is no reason to let any of their silly impossible claims scare you. Some of them are delusional, but most of them are just doing it to make money.
"If necessary, seek professional help"
….really? ….wow…
I don't know whats worse.. Scaring your kids with crazy talk, or scarring them with sending them to a shrink…

You don't? If a kid is so petrified that he or she has to be taken to a shrink, you can bet they are already scarred. The only time anyone here advises professional help is when it looks like there's no other option, or when there are threats of suicide. So your problem with that is?

When i told my perants about 2012 they just got mad at me for beliving in such nonsense I told them i dont belive it but im worried , so they were like if you dont belive it why are you worried about it. So i decided to hang out with you guys who know how i feel.

I am a parent (take note of spelling, please. Although, I know you won't). The first my 11 year-old child heard of any nonsense was at school. This was to do with the May (?) Harold Camping nonsense. She came home one day and told us, over dinner, that some kid at her school said that some "scientist" on youtube, said the world was going to end on Saturday. I asked her how she responded. She said she told the boy that it was ridiculous because scientists did not make such claims. (I did not bother to tell her that it was some religious guy that made the claim, because in the end, it really doesn't matter.) The first thing I must point out is that my daughter has been raised free of religious influence. She can make that decision when she is old enough to do so. The second thing I must point out is, my daughter has no clue about 2012. Just like religion, we have chosen not to expose her to such influences. She does not have free reign over the internet. She's eleven. She still plays Animal Jam. Kids should be kids. They really do not need to be exposed to these things.
