The Psychological Side, that's what I am worried a bit about. Natural human fear of death. What happens as 2012 closes in be it there are signs of anything happening or not? Due to the media hype, people will probably start stockpiling, pulling money out of the banks, etc. We could quite possibly create our own economic and social downfall because of the media. (Thank you Sony, the History Channel and everyone else cashing in). I don't blame people, after all, I would stockpile just because everyone else probably will be as well and I'm not going to be the last one to the grocery store. I played that game in small Colorado ski resort town during a 2 day snowstorm that prevented any import of goods and the shelves were almost empty when I decided to go shopping.
Here's my thing, whether something is going to happen or its not, it doesn't matter. The likely hood of the world ending in 2012 is just about as likely as getting into a fatal car accident the next time you get inside a car (or maybe even just walking down the street). Does that stop you from getting in a car? Does it make you severely depressed that you could die at any moment…you could have a random heart attack reading this forum. My advice, you have life now…live it. Treat people with kindness and respect that you yourself would want in return. Learn about Love, forgiveness, friendship, and everything else that goes along in life. Be it the world ends 5 minutes from now or in 2012, stop dwelling on it, get off your ass and make a positive difference in the world.
