Typo

Summary:

Scientists in Europe have been building the world's largest particle accelerator. Basically its a 27km tunnel designed to smash atoms together to find out what makes the Universe tick. However, the mega-gadget has caused serious concern, with some scientists suggesting that it's properly even a bad idea to turn it on in the first place. They're predicting all manner of deadly results, including mini black holes. So when this machine is fired up for its first serious experiment in 2012, the world could be crushed into a super-dense blob the size of a basketball.

Surprisingly , I don't see a typo. The way "it's" is written is correct. It is a contraction of "it is", so the apostrophe is used in this case. I see some cases where a space is missed, and as Seen said, it is likely that "properly" was meant to be "probably".

Even if they do manage to create a black hole, it would have a lifespan of less than a millisecond before it collapsed, releasing elementary particles that would show up on the LHC's particle trackers. And that's ALL that would happen. No implosion. No Planet Earth being crushed to the size of any sort of sports equipment.

Properly was misspelled and reads like it was supposed to have been probably even a bad idea.

I guess only a nerd would see look at it this way, but a tiny black hole would have such a minuscule Event Horizon that it would be less like a campfire in the middle of a dry forest and more like a tiny boat in the middle of the Pacific.

Space is mostly space. Even when it is sub-atomic space.
