We live in a world of doubt and uncertainty. There is no way I can guarantee you 100% that absolutely nothing will happen in 2012, or in any other year. However, even having said that, I can tell you that the claims of the doomsayers are either so general that they could be applied to any year, or they are specific enough that we can refute them.
For example: Many of the doomsayers make a big deal about the accuracy of the Mayan Calendar. They then say, or imply, that since they were so good at their calendar, and since the calendar ends in 2012, that something must happen.
On the other hand, we can show that the claims about the accuracy of the Mayan calendar are false. We can show that the Mayan calendar does not end in 2012. Therefore their claims are bogus.
There are many examples of this kind of claim on this website.
In marketing, this is called "FUD"… Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt. You spread FUD about your competitors in the hope that you drive customers to your product. Microsoft is especially good at this.
So, what are we worried about, and why? This gets to the heart of the matter. I worry about real tragedies, not bogus made-up ones. According to Unicef, every day about 24,000 children die from preventable causes. Disease, starvation, abuse, etc. This is a real tragedy. This is happening now.
The 2012 doomsday people just want your money. Everything they say is geared around that goal. Buy my book, buy my video, buy my survival kit, etc. Give me your email so I can sell you more stuff. Recognize this fact, and become cynical about their motives. They are lying to you, just to get your money.
Now, look around here. No ads, no "Donate Now" button, no pitch for cash. We don't want your money. All we want is for you to break free from this mental abuse the doomsayers are heaping on you.
