Finally a website that is telling the truth and if little kids accidentally click on this website and read it they will not be scared! Thank goodness you made this Website and I am a little kid aswell I am only 9 years old but the doomsday rumour is scaring me!!! Now I know it is not true! but some people predicted that the world will end in the year 2000 didnt they??? My mum told me they did because I couldnt watch TV yet I was tiny!By the way, 2012 is a stupid catastrophic movie!In the trailer it shows everything falling down and going under water and then it says 'its not just california. its the whole world'. ITS A CATCHPHRASE TO PROMOTE THE MOVIE! And we are learning about Mayans and we found out that they were tought that when they look at mountains and see rocks/snow falling/rolling down them it means something will happen in the world. so they make up what will happen, when it will happen and they put it in calendars.

Thank you so much for posting here and telling us about this. I am so happy that our little site has made you feel better, and has helped you to understand that the 2012 stuff is all just a big hoax.

Yes, some people made lots of predictions for 2000… not really the 'end of the world' but they predicted that there was going to be chaos because all the computers would suddenly stop. They were sure wrong.

Are you learning about the Maya in school? Very cool! One of the people who helps with this site is a "Mayanist"… that is a kind of an archaeologist (which is a special kind of scientist who studies ancient people by looking at things like buildings, tools, graves, and pottery). He studies their pyramids and buildings and calendar stones, to understand them better. He has really helped us improve the sections of the website that are about the Maya.

I am very grateful to all of the people who have helped build this website. Everybody who has helped to build this website is a volunteer. We don't do it for money, we do it so that people like you can understand that the 2012 stuff is all just a big hoax. Please come back and ask us any questions you have if you get scared about this again. If you have friends who are scared about 2012, please tell them about this site too.
