This was excellent to read. I find myself identifying with Tyler on the desire learn about both astronomy and mayan culture. As tough as it has been, it's been just as eye opening for me.

I know what you mean. I had no interest in learning about the Maya prior to the 2012 phenomenon.

Yeah, isn't that freaking hysterical? It really sucks for the Maya that they aren't famous, but infamous.

Thank you for this Tyler, I am still not who I used to be thanks to all of this 2012 stuff, but I am glad that I faced my fear and continued to find real answers. It was hard, but I am glad I found this site. It took a lot of digging! Thanks to everyone who contributes to the site as well. :)
