I will retire the custom domain, meaning that "2012hoax.org" will go away. But the site will live on as '2012hoax.wikidot.com'

There's too much here that could be potentially valuable down the road for the site to just disappear.

That's great, I'm glad to hear the site will live on in some form after 2012 has passed.

The old saying about those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat its mistakes seems applicable; maybe someone down the line will remember this site when the next doomsday scare rolls around. And, as Joe Bob Briggs, the drive-in movie critic of Grapevine, TX said: "Without eternal vigilance, it can happen here."
