Why do people keep saying we aren't going to all die in 2012 then I start to believe that then there's articles on the internets like this:
http://buburuza.net/2008/08/seven-reasons-the-world-will-end-in-2012-proven-scientifically/
I'm only 13.. I didn't really want to die yet.
I read everything on this site but I'm not convinced because everyone's saying different things. Argh. If it is a hoax the person who did this is sick in the head. I don't want to see my family die in front of me… :'( Help?
Sarah, take a look at their sources……What? There aren't any? Don't believe people who make wild claims. I could tell you that it has been scientifically proven that we are all going to turn into a pink unicorns next week. That doesn't make it true. They can't tell you ONE real scientist who supports this 2012 nonsense. Be skeptical. Don't just go searching the net and believing everything you see. THEY ARE LYING to make money!
Hmm that makes sense… Bit pathetic though making money by terrifying the nation right? Thanks.
The claims on that site have no basis in objective reality. And yes, this person IS sick in the head.
Hello Sarah,
The 2012hoax website seems to have already dealt with the 7-Reasons post (http://www.2012hoax.org/7-reasons).
As to Super-Volcano about Yellowstone,
1). Yellowstone is not the world's largest volcano. It is however North America's largest volcano.
2). Scientific estimated cycles are based on scientific observations and the geological record. No estimate is firm until the event takes place. Case and point, even if the scientific community agreed, Yellowstone eruption cycle takes place on average every 600,000 years; the estimate is obviously incorrect and a new estimate gets drawn.
