I was looking through red box the other day and saw there was a new Sci-Fi movie called 2012:Doomsday. I forget who the director is, but I was wondering if anyone knows if this is just another movie just like 2012, or what it is about. It shows a large tidal wave coming over a city on the front cover. Does anyone know which theory they use in the movie?

"A Modern Christian Epic in the Tradition of The Omega Code and Left Behind"
"On December 21, 2012 four strangers on a journey of faith are drawn to an ancient temple in the heart of Mexico. For the Mayans it is the last recorded day. For NASA scientists it is a cataclysmic polar shift. For the rest of us, it is Doomsday. Written by Faith Films"
"The end is nigh in this apocalyptic disaster film that mixes Christian values, Mayan mythology, and scientific theories about polar shifts. When four strangers journey into Mexico in 2012, they are drawn into ancient mysteries that foretell the coming of the End Times. [D-Man2010]
The final day on the Mayan calendar finds four faithful strangers convening at an ancient temple in the heart of Mexico in this apocalyptic thriller starring Cliff De Young and Dale Midkiff. Centuries ago, the Mayans set a date for the end of time: December 21, 2012. Now that date is upon us, and NASA scientists have noted that a catastrophic polar shift is about to occur. Could it be that an ancient Mexican temple holds the key to unlocking the secret that could protect humankind from total extinction? [D-Man2010]"
Sounds like a movie well worth skipping.
"Do you ever think about things you do think about?" - Henry Drummond to Matthew Harrison Brady in Inherit the Wind
Sounds like the same movie i've been seeing sold at Wal Mart for the past month and it's not flying off the shelves. Also you know you're movies a piece of garbage when it doesn't even get a theatrical release and just gets a straight to DVD and even worse it's only 6.00 dollars.
Distributed by The Asylum, "best known for producing titles capitalizing on productions by major studios. These titles have been dubbed "mockbusters" by the press."
Jumping on the cash cow it seems…
Edit
Their list of movies is insane. I mean, mind bogglingly, 'how on Earth can these ever make money', 'just what the heck were you guys thinking' kind of insane. I am on the verge of tracking some of these down and actually watching them, they seem to be that mad.
Actually saw this movie on SyFy a while back, it's a terrible movie.
Horrible acting, horrible everything.

Are you shocked Nurse at least as much as i hate to say anything good about the 2012 movie had famous actors and actresses in it. The movie in question has none of the above.
Not really shocked, I was kind of expecting a less-than style of movie, since it's a B-grade Science Fiction flick, but it was more like an F-grade science fiction flick, I've seen a lot of science fiction flicks and I can honestly say that this one was the most terrible.. Well.. Except for that one where the brain rolls around, killing people.
Wie Sie säen, so sollst du ernten.
Would that be "Field Without a Face" or "Brain from Planet Arous"? I am a B-movie maven, so I'm curious.
Probably "Brain from Planet Arous", I haven't seen it since I was a little kid.
