Found this to be quite interresting, in a way. Seems like there is a great deal of UFO sightings these days, and I just wounder what your take is on this whole phenomena? The only real connection this have with 2012 is Lieder and Sitchins aliens, and the manner they are supposed to arrive. Or wait, the Anunnakis are supposed to arrive here with their planet so that would make Nibiru an identified flying planet. Now that's actually something that could look fun. Also, I woundered if you guys know why there has been so many claimed UFO-sightings in the UK for the past couple of years? could it be because the subject simply is quite popular, and that it's easy to fabricate evidence and thereby making yourself a name on the internet. I heard about all the stuff with Chinese lanterns being released last year, and it seems like most observations where just that, lanterns (of different types, sizes and colours). But some pictures almost looks like a burning ball of fire. Could these in fact be meteors or asteroids hitting our different spheres (atmosphere and so on)?

And also, how did this stuff about the Annunaki get started? Was it Sitchin that came up with that to?

The funny thing about UFO's is how they are synonymous with little green men, it's oh so easy to forget that the U stands for Unidentified. But of course "I found an alien spaceship" is more interesting than "I have no idea what this is, if it's anything at all"

The Annunaki were a group of deities, way back when, in Sumeria, Akkadia, Babylonia, only becoming 'popular' if you will because of Sitchin, who of course used them as the gold mining, human breeding aliens from Nibiru we all know and love. Essentially, if you know something the vast majority of your audience doesn't know (like a subset of deity from a culture from thousands and thousands of years ago), you can pretty much make them into whatever you want - I mean, who's going to double check these things right?…

As for the UK, I don't know of any figures for who believes in UFOs or not, I can recall some crop circles, and the "X-files" or whatever they were called were open to the public recently, so maybe that spurred some interest, not too sure.

Even if it was a UFO what does this have to do with 2012 nothing i doubt we will be harmed buy beings that i more advance then us. That is if they do realy exist.

UFO during the inauguration? An object moving quickly from right to left with flapping wings? Hmmm. I think it just might be a bird.
Judging by the number of questions from UK users of Yahoo! Answers describing floating yellow lights, I think that Chinese lanterns account for the apparent increase in UFO sightings. These seem to be more popular in the UK than the USA. Most meteors are visible for less than a second. Fireballs (large meteors) maybe for several seconds. Chinese lanterns are likely to be visible for minutes.
