I was just wondering what will happen to this website on 12/22/2010 after people realize 2012 is one big gigantic hoax????

Yeah what Moo said if/when this one fails the doomsayers will go back to the drawing board like always and come back a couple years down the road with a new prediction of something.

Well, I pay a small annual fee to have the site run without ads.

After 2012, I will stop paying that fee, and also stop paying the domain registry fee, so this site will revert to its base domain and become http://2012hoax.wikidot.com once again.

Other than that, nothing. I will leave the site up for others to use, as I am sure that many of these 'doomsday scenarios' will be recycled for the next big internet hoax… well, maybe not the 'Mayan Calendar' one, but certainly the others.

The discussion boards need to be left open so that all the 2012 believers and people who have posted rants against the site can come back and tell us how their day went.
How many do you think will do that? If we have a sweepstake, I'll take 0.
