Saw that article today. Please tell me i they are close to us and if one could be Nibiru or threaten Earth.
As it says in the article:
"If confirmed, the planetary system around HD 10180, a star more than 100 light years distant, would be the richest ever discovered."
100LY means that it would take hundred years for anything at that distance to reach us if it travels at the speed of light (and actually is comming towards us). And no planet is able to travel even close to the speed of light, which means that even if it were moving in our direction it wouldn't reach our vicinity during our lifetime.
As for Nibiru; it's a fictional planet that doesn't have any baring on reality. And even if it, hypotheticaly speaking were located in this planetary cluster, why would it matter? It is extremelly far away and can't possibly interact with us. Not by any chance whatsoever.
I'm 100% certain that these finds isn't going to threaten earth, not now and not in a hundred years.
Facts are stubborn things.

I'm sure this is nothing to worry about but maybe Astrogeek or someone else can help you with this one but Nibiru is supposed to be bigger than earth so claim the Nibiru defenders and Nancy Leider say so it's probably not Nibiru.
Lieder's description of Planet X is internally inconsistent.
She describes it as being "4 times the size of earth" and "23 times the mass of earth", and a "brown dwarf" star, and a "smoldering magnetic monster".
The formula for a volume of a sphere is $V = \frac{4}{3}\pi r^3$. The approximate radius of the earth is 6,378 km, therefore the volume of the earth is approximately $3.4593 \times 10^{11} km^3$. If we multiply the radius of the earth by four we get 25,592 km, which yields a volume of $2.214 \times 10^{13} km^3$, which is exactly 64 times the volume of the earth. Yet, Lieder claims that Px is "23 times the mass of the earth"… in other words, it is approximately 1/3 as dense as the earth.
We also know how massive a planet has to be to approach brown dwarf status. Brown dwarfs are sub-stellar objects which are too low in mass to sustain stable hydrogen fusion. These objects occur between 10 and about 60 times the mass of Jupiter1. This is considerably more than "23 times the mass of the earth".

They are not close, and do not threaten us in any way.
The excitement is due to the discovery of the 'smallest exoplanet discovered to date', possibly only 1.4 times the size of the earth.

And historical data proves that Nibiru is another name for Jupiter.
It's not a mysterious "12th Planet", it's freaking Jupiter.
And last I checked Jupiter ain't beelining for us.
Wait Moo. Nibiru is really Jupiter are you sure and if it is then why are people so worried about Nibiru or Jupiter killing us all. Is what you're saying true Moo.
Oh, I'm sorry. Apparently the Nibiru Conspiracy Theorists do not know how to read Ancient Sumerian, do they?
You DO know that Nibiru came from Zecharia's Sitchin's twisted and unique "only my mind can comprehend" translation of Ancient Sumerian, right? Okay.
Let's think here.
One man's translation vs. The Entire Freaking Institute Dedicated To Ancient Sumerian Translations.
Hrmmm…
Pretty sure people would like you to believe Zecharia Sitchin is a crusader against "The Conspiracy".
Yeah, if you uh… go look at 3WMElliott's Nibiru Hoax videos, he does the homework for you. There is proof that, translated from Ancient Sumerian, that Nibiru was another name for Jupiter. Granted you could read the translation of it saying that Nibiru, Marduk, and Jupiter are different things, but…
When it's worded as "Marduk, Nibiru, Jupiter" and then the entire paragraph has no words that suggest multiples? You come to the conclusion that they are one in the same.
And no, it's not out of the normal for Ancient Sumerian to have multiple names for the planets. They did.
There is no evidence supporting Nibiru. At all.
There IS circumstantial evidence supporting Nibiru is just Jupiter. There IS circumstantial evidence the "Nibiru Picture" in the Ancient Sumerian glyph is a load of crap that's been badly misinterpreted. Again, check 3WMElliott's youtube series on Nibiru.
So yeah, evidence points to that Nibiru is another name for Jupiter.
Evidence does not point out Nibiru the Wandering Planet is real. This is the fictional creation of one man, that has been dogpiled upon by every insane fool imaginable.
But, really, just watch the videos. 3WMElliott is amazing at his research.
PS: If Jupiter suddenly came tearing toward us, we'd be dead loooong before 2012 impact. In fact we'd probably be dead or enjoying a massively disrupted and chaotic world right about now.
Yeah. Imaginary Planet is Imaginary. Too bad people rather listen to the nutjob crusaders over the trained professionals.
Oh well, they're all apart of "The Government Conspiracy" to "Hide The Truth".
I should know, my Kirara Plushie told me.
In a sense, yes.
I only qualify that because apparently the Sumerians identified Nibiru as multiple objects1. Sometimes it was Jupiter, sometimes it was Mars Mercury, and sometimes it was a fixed star.
It was never identified as a planet beyond the others.

Why thanks for making me look stupid, Astrogeek!
(I kid, thanks for the correction!)
