Alright so i did a search and found a guy named Rob Theil who wrote a book called 2012 The Secret Sect and while this man doesn't believe Obama is the Antichrist and also quotes Nostradomis it seems to be that he is also trying to sell his book and claims Preisident Barack Obama is apocolyptic.
I also googled Rob Thiel "P,H.D. and found nothing about him on Google so i'm rather curious if he falls in with the J Michael Sayer does of a false doomsayer.
Bogus. He just cited every single thing we've debunked with association to 2012.
Nothing he is saying has anything to do with 2012, sans the Mayan Calendar.
All apocalyptic prophecies are ambiguous, if not just flat out insane. They are not precise and are vague by the sheer value of being more difficult to pin any relation to.
Hurhurhur religious prophecies point to 2012. And like, every year before it.
Hurhur Hopi Prophecies. Which are the most misunderstood thing EVER. Also, you know, around 50 years old or so… so… yeah.
Hurhur I Ching WAIT A MINUTE. The I Ching doesn't TELL prophecies. It's a system to be used as fortunes!
Whoops.
Yep. This guy is bogus. Probably doesn't even have a P.H.D in anything but Bull.
All we have here is another graduate of the University of Woo grabbing the chance to cash in.
This review on the Amazon website is illuminating:
Suckers you in with 2012 (5% of the book). The other 95% is using Old Testament and the New Testament to try and convince you that his church/religion (the secret sect) of the Philadelphia Church of the Nazarene (can't determine if they are Jews who belive in Jesus or Christians who follow Jewish traditions) is the RIGHT religion.
So essentially it's more "Religious" fodder for 2012.
coming to this late, but I'd say that yes, it is just yet another attempt to cash in on the 2012 phenomenon.
