Luckily, the CERN website has a page entitled CERN in a nutshell, which I'm sure leads to yet more information somewhere along the line.
In a nutshell of a nutshell, it's a research center with backing from umpteen EU member states.
So why do people think CERN is out to kill us all and is evil i don't understand it just seems like their trying to make a living like everyone else.

It's the same line of thinking, if there is no evidence supporting your claim attack the head of the opposition.
I personally think that Barney is out to kill us all, but let's not start on that subject, someone might get paranoid and try to link Barney to 2012… or, "droplets".
