Back in August of 2010, I went to SETIcon, where I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Phil Plait, Andy Fraknoi, and David Morrison. I only had the time to attend one day, and of course the day I attended was when Fraknoi, Plait and Morrison were talking about 2012. These three men are some of my personal heros in Astronomy, and Fraknoi gets the blame for sparking my interest by his various media appearances in the Bay Area, but in particular his appearances on KGO Radio.
