That doesn't surprise me at all. The producers like to use scientists to lend an air of respectability and, well, science to their nonsense shows. If you watch the shows that run on History channel, they typically will use a "real" scientist to introduce a topic, then cut away from him to one of the proponents who "explains" it all. In other words, yes, the scientist talks, and his name and credentials go up on the screen, but nary a skeptical word is heard throughout the show. Instead the only conclusions you hear are from the "Author and Independent Researcher" types.
