hiya everyone! as I said in off-topic I am 15 and I love your website, the information here has really helped me in school even though I have never worried about 2012 I was referred here by a friend who said this site had a lot of compiled information about a lot of different things so I came here to seek certain information and I found it and was able to understand it..
2012 has started to circulate around my school and I have noticed that some in my class have been kinda worried about it and we are supposed to do a students choice speech soon so I wanted my speech to be a little bit about 2012 and this website so I was wanting to know if I could mention the contributors that are listed in "About Us" and ones that aren't listed?
I don't have a problem with it, although I'm not at all famous. They might be more impressed with our professor of Astronomy and Physics, and the fact that NASA Sr. Scientist Dr. David Morrison recommends us on his NASA Ask an Astrobiologist site.

That may be true, but the contributors and admins of the website are every bit as important.
That being said.. I have no problem with it, either.

Hi Kelsea;
I think that you doing a speech on this for school is a wonderful idea! I'd be happy to help in any way I can.
Unless otherwise noted all of the information on this website is published under a very liberal 'Creative Commons' license, and that would include the 'About Us' page. Feel free to mention anyone on that page. People who are active in the forums may wish to divulge their personal information or not, as the case may be. If you wish to contact any of them directly, you can use the contact form to get in touch with me, and I'll try to pass along a direct message. People who have signed up for Wikidot accounts (the ones whose names look like mine: Astrogeek) are your best bet.
I also have a tri-fold pamphlet in development that you may want for your materials. The folks at SETI.cl are translating the text to Spanish, and they are also hiring an illustrator to do some drawings for it, but I've got publicly available clip-art in it at the moment. If you would like that (it gives a very broad overview of why 2012 is not the end of the world) drop me a note.
It is exactly for people like you and your friends at school that this site was created. Thanks!
