now completely off topic does anyone have ps3 online cause black ops has come out and looking to play zombies with people :)
I am PC-only and have been since way back in the Super Nintendo days. I am contemplating a 360, however, since EA stopped making PC Madden in 2008 and FIFA just doesn't fill the void. :(
MW2 was less-than-revolutionary but cool. However, I get the feeling with Black Ops that Activision is just milking the CoD dynasty for all it's worth while they can. Infinity Ward personnel fled in droves after West and Zampella got canned.
For english players it would be the same with FIFA but as ive already experienced black ops its really good espicially zombies aw you can also kill zombies being jfk LOL :)
The Zombies game mode is definitely the best multiplayer feature from any CoD game. Aside from the fact that you just can't go wrong with blowing away zombies, I prefer it to regular modes simply because my reflexes aren't what they used to be. With a few exceptions, I can't normally compete successfully against younger players in shooters.
I've been playing Fallout New Vegas on PS3. It's a blast, however, the bugs are a nightmare. I'm still looking to get CoD Black Ops.
I always run into Giant Radscorpions. Or Deathclaws…
I have been playing Black Ops for awhile. It's a good game with a pretty well written story if you ask me.
Everything is proceeding as I have forseen. Wait… when did that happen?
Yea dude, the deathclaws are wicked on Hardcore mode!
I haven't tried Hardcore mode yet. It sounds challenging. Right now I'm trying to help the NCR by either getting rid of Papa Khan or influencing him to help you. As it turns out, one of the people you need to talk to just so happens to be in the middle of a nest of Deathclaws… I gave up at this point.

I was addicted to Fallout 3 for a while and did a little modding. Haven't tried New Vegas yet, but I heard it had some issues. Hopefully, they'll fix it, but that's par for the course with Obsidian. They're great storytellers, but they struggle technically. Neverwinter Nights 2 and the Mask of the Betrayer expansion are prime examples of wonderful games by Obsidian with wonderful stories, but the experiences are occasionally marred by poor performance and interface shortcomings.
I'll eventually get Black Ops for PC. Maybe I'm old school or just old, but I can't handle FPS with a console controller.
I never could get that far in Fallout 3. I always unintentionally made it to where I couldn't beat it. The farthest part I got was to that cave with the kids in it. But my speech wasn't high enough so I had to go save their friends in that camp. But then I was forced to go slap collars on people and the person in Rivet City was a gun dealer and I always got ganged up on when I put it on.
Yes, Obsidian does a good job with stories. And there is an odd pattern with the way their games seem rushed or bugged or even incomplete in some ways. Knight of the Old Republic II had a great story to it. But it was rushed and they were forced to leave large portions of the game out. There's finally a mod where it's complete but I'm no good with mods so I'll just make do with what I have done.
I'm not so sure what the major difference is between PC and controller. I've played Modern Warfare 2 on both PS3 and on my step-brothers PC and I didn't see much of a difference other than it's more comfortable shooting with a mouse.

…it's more comfortable shooting with a mouse.
That's the gist of it really. For me, playing a FPS on console is more irritating than fun, even if the game is good. I'd really like to know how Halo 3 ends, for instance, but I don't know that I'll ever finish. Even playing on the lowest difficulty setting, I have trouble moving and can't aim worth a crap. Multiplayer is out of the question.
I don't know why, but third-person games like Assassin's Creed and Gears of War are fine. In fact, I prefer a controller in some of them. I'm using a 360 controller on my PC right now to play AC II, and I use a controller exclusively in sports games. Don't know why it's different. I do entertain the possibility that I'm simply inept.
I've always preferred the Xbox 360 controller over the PlayStation 3 controller, the position of the joysticks on the PS3 hurts my thumbs, whereas the position of the joysticks on the 360 are much more comfortable, plus I find the top buttons to be more convenient for shooters in particular.
At any rate, I own both an Xbox 360 and a PS3.

I have no chance of playing a 360 only game any time soon. So I usually just ignore their exclusives or watch the endings online like I did with Halo 3. I wouldn't play Halo online again. Everyone is just rude as far as I could tell. I mean, there are some decent people but most of the time it's some 10 year old calling you out and saying you suck.
I just adapt to it. The PS3 controller is a little slippery and not big enough in my opinion.

I switch between both. With it being college football season, I watch ESPN on my xbox quite a bit. I echo the rudeness factor on 360, it's just silly that there are 10 yr olds cussing like sailors at adults.
I'll get on YouTube on my PS3 if I really don't have anything else to play.
It's also teenagers and even young adults that do it to. When I played on my step-brothers 360 there were obvious white guys shouting the "N" word. It just annoys me.

You forgot to mention that you have to pay between $49 and $59 to gain access to Xbox Live, only to encounter people who use modded 360's online, where modded 360's allow them to use invincibility, etc. online.
I've never encountered that on the PS3, plenty of rudeness, such is the internet, but never a modder.

I was curious to why I'm seeing alot of 360 mods for GTA IV.

Yep. That's why.

Yea,
I've only encountered it once, but it was enough to tick me off. The most frustrating experiences on xbox live are in sports games. You're literally one on one with someone and if they're poor winner they'll taunt the entire time. It's really pathetic.
I have to admit i don't play games very often, but I love watching my nephew play :) at the minute he is playing Red Dead Redemption, he downloaded the pack of the internet the one with the zombies :) better than watching the stuff on the telly I tell ya :D
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.

I'm not a fan of sports games because I get too competitive with it. Even with the demos.
I don't have much friends to play RDR with. And even if they do all we do is mess around but I want to try to zombie story.
