So, I was out walking my dog today and looked up in the sky and saw this bright orange light. It was moving pretty fast in east-west direction and didn't flicker a bit. The light, or lights, looked like a street light seen from afar and then disappeared into the thin air after just about 1 minute. The disappearing wasn't all that strange, since there were lots of clouds when I saw it.
Any ideas on what it could have been? Do planes have a fixed light like this too?
At first I thought it was the ISS, but according to heavens above the ISS shouldn't be visible from my location now. Could it have been a chinese lantern that I saw?
