Nostradomis didn't predict anything in 2012 or any other time for that matter these were things tied in to his quatrines by his followers to make it look like he predicted something prophetic.

I'm not certain of which "Nostradamus / 2012" documentary you are referring to. The one I hear about most frequently is an episode of the series on the History Channel titled The Nostradamus Effect.
My opinion of that piece of garbage is … well, you can guess. Also, if that is the show you are referring to, I do not recall it actually making any predictions, but rather it was an hour long indulgent fantasy on what Nostradamus might have meant in some of the Quatrains.
In the very deceptive fashion that has become very familiar, the show leans heavily on heavily edited interviews with scientists, who are used to introduce topics, that are cut-in with interviews with various 'authors' or 'independent researchers'. This gives the show a "documentary" feel without actually forcing them to do any real research.
Go back and watch for this technique: A scientist introduces a topic, with his name, speciality and university affiliation prominently displayed. After 5 to 10 seconds the shot cuts away from the scientist to the narrator, and then when the live interview returns it is with another person, who is usually referred as an "author" or "researcher". One of the more hilarious ones that I remember from that show were the cut-ins by the president of the "Nostradamus Club of North America".
So, I don't think very highly of it. I think that the show is very deceptive, and tries to convince the audience that the various speculations made by the show are supported by science and evidence, when they are not.

When he predicted that, and why this is related to 2012 hoax? Another thing: the prophecies of Nostradamus are too vague. You can interpret those predictions by different ways.

Do you have the specific quatrains at hand which have these predictions?
Well, some websites that supports this claim says that there is a Lost Book of Nostradamus at National Library of Italy, that was wrote in 1629, according to some websites (there are too many websites talking about this. If you need some links, I can give you). But, of course, anyone can interpret by different ways, because those prophecies are too vague.
I think that Jewels might be referring to this "book".

I'll second Elliott's question. Do you know which quatrains he made these predictions in? But I'll also add another question: Do you find dead birds and fish to be highly unusual? If so, why?
If I took a picture of certain Pacific Northwest streams after the Salmon spawn, you might be horrified by the mass death of Salmon, choking the stream bed, floating about in the water, rotting. I hear that it stinks horribly. However, this is an entirely natural event that occurs every year.
I remember about 15 or 20 years ago at a coastal harbor near me there was a huge mess when a school of baitfish (herring or something similar) took refuge from predators in a boat harbor. Within a few minutes they had exhausted the oxygen in the water and all died. It took the authorities several days to get the mess cleaned out, and the harbor was pretty much unusable until it was done.

In the African country of Cameroon, in 1986, Lake Nyos suddenly emitted a cloud of CO2 gas which suffocated everything in the valley around it, including 1,700 people and 3,500 livestock, but also all of the wildlife that was unable to escape. This had happened before, at Lake Monoun (also in Cameroon) in 1984. That event killed 37 people. There is evidence that a third lake undergoes one of these CO2 eruptions at irregular intervals, but about every thousand years.
My point is to get you to realize that while something like that may seem unusual, they are actually naturally occurring events. Not something that you necessarily see every day, but certainly not unprecedented either.

Dead birds drop from the sky and dead fish wash up on land more that you would think. However, Nostradamus was more concerned with politics of his day and keeping his job as court seer. His quatrains are so vague that you can read anything into them. Also there are a lot of fake quatrains out there that others have written and attributed to him. They do this to prove a point - one group is about the events on 9/11/2001.
