Okay this is totally random I know. I'm just curious does anyone on here believe in spirits (ghosts). Do any of you believe in such things. Personally I do I find it hard not to believe considering around my house and boyfriends house I always see dark shadows running around….He's in the middle of the woods and no one is near his place. It's weird ,but it doesn't scare me. I'm just curious on your thoughs. Cheers =]

Well put juju I however disagree on this. I'll admit I watch tv with ghost hunters and laugh, but I myself have seen things that can't really be explained. This is just me personally however everyones views on this is different. Thanks for your input =]

WEll I mean that my mom grew up in a "haunted house" her bed would shake for no reason at night. Her name would b called wen no one was home. Shed feel things crawling on her like a cat ,but she didn't have one. I have a lot of stories like that there weird I'll admit it. but Hey like I said just my opinion on this.

Ironically, these things never happen to scientists. Some people spend their lives trying to find ghosts. Turns out they only have stories, and no physical evidence.

When I was little ghosts were my biggest fear, because I didn't feel like there was anything I could do if I were attacked by one of them lol. After my mother passed, I stopped believing in them. If there was one person who was going to haunt me for the rest of my life, it was her.

Yes for many years I was an expert on ghost. I loved ghosts.
The problem is: No Evidence.

I really would love to see a real ghost. But the geek part in me would automatically want to analyse it.

Lakin, I don't deny the existence of some spirit living with us, in our home, but to believe this I will need some proof.

Eh you guys have a point, but like I said i belive you can call me nuts if you need to, but I don't think everything needs to have proof to be explained. I have an athesit dad and a christian mom who are happily married. According to normal society this wouldn't work, but they deeply love each other. I was taught love wasn't a real feeling it was a choice. I disagree on that fact completely. I'm goin off topic with this ,but I just felt the need to say this. I understand science is usually right, but has anyone actually though that maybe some things don't need explaining. I'm sorry for my little rant ,but I'm not trying to affend anyone or through what if's in anones face. I wasn't rasied like that your opinion is respected by me. Sorry for this rant I just thought I needed to get this out there. Thanks for your time.

P.S. as Phil Plait would say "don't be a dick" the skeptical side is just as important so i'm not hating so to say lol.

Anyway, I have no problems with ghosts, but, I am agnostic. I don't completely deny the existence of ghosts or spirits, but while nobody prove this, I will not believe.

I don't think everything needs to have proof to be explained.

You are right, but if ghosts are as real as you say, their existence should be proved, because they are, according to testimonials, visible, move things, make noises and other things. So, why isn't proved yet?

If you believe ghosts, or not, I have no problems. Just your decision and your opinion.

well i couldn't tell you honestly at the moment I'm currently am figuring out what I am. I will admit at one point I was atheist ,but I realise that I'm not so i'm kinda trying to figure it out kinda sticky situation at the moment lol. You have your point there ,but I do believe people overlook some things that could easily be proof when it comes to things like this. Thats just my opinion however I'm very skeptical about everything lol. I'd probably make a good philospher lol I'm just kidding. Thank you for your opinion on this tommy =]

You're right. We don't need proof to acknowledge something exists, but you're forgetting a key point in your argument; The things we say do exist, end up having proof.

Considering people have been ghost hunting for hundreds of years, and all we have to go by are hole-filled stories and laughable hunts? I can safely say they do not exist in any shape, way, or form.

No one has ever proved the existence of the ghosts, but we can't prove they don't exist neither. Why the ghost witnesses would lie to us? I don't see any reason for this.
I, honestly, don't know why they couldn't prove the existence of ghosts still, but completely deny their existence is silly.

You and moo both have a point there. Even when I was jumping around with religion All my life I believed in ghost. Now taps and stuff on tv can be laughable i'll admit that. Like I said my whole family has had some sort of experience. I believe in them ,but it's okay if you don't =]

I think that I am in the middle: you believe in ghosts. Moo don't. I still do not believe them, but I don't deny the existence of ghosts. So, I should not use this word for this situation, but I am a kind of agnostic with ghosts or spirits, maybe both.
After anyone die, this person goes to the heaven or hell or becomes a spirit? It's probable that we become a spirit, no? But I should not assert this.
But if you believe, it's ok.

If you believe in ghosts, you might sleep pretty afraid, no?

Actually the thought doesn't scare me and I've never been afraid of them. I'm not saying you nor moo or anyone on her have to belive anything. I'm just more looking ofr a conversation ,because I'm extremley interested in this type of stuff. I respect your opinions I like hearing from all points of view on this thats all. Sorry if I came off as pushy I really didn't mean to come off that way. =]
