So yea, I am sitting here thinking how cool it would be to go to school for some kind of astronomy or physics degree, seeing as this has gotten me really interested in it. Cool idea right? So I looked it up and was like :-O at the math. Lol. One thing I did not account for was the math, which never was my strong point, ah well there goes that idea.

Don't let the math get you down. It looks really complex, but most of what gets used most often is pretty basic.

What is the problem? The math can't stop you. If you really like astronomy, physics etc, go ahead and study, as much as you can.

I know how you feel with math. I stuggle with it to no end I'm and A B student but when it comes to math I get C's. It's rather confusing to me, but I try not to let it affect me. I've found that I'm good with money so I'm going to go into business. If astronomy interests you GO FOR IT! The math may be a pain in the butt at first ,but i'm sure after doing it for a long time it'll come second nature =]

Check out Zooniverse - you won't get a degree out of it, but you'll be taught the basics of the task at hand and you'll directly contribute to different scientific endeavors. It's working for science without having to know anything about science. Smashing.

Hi Diesel,
Maybe the math problem is just that you haven't had enough of it yet, or perhaps you weren't that interested in it then. Now that you have a goal in mind, you should be able to learn the math part because you want to. Don't give up because you don't currently have a good math score.
