Nice, but they don't have any news since July, 2009. :-(

SuperNova are cool. More powerful than the LHC and very interesting to test scientific theories.
Yeah I am loving the whole SuperNova thing :) still liking the LHC more though :P

Well with the LHC we know when a collision happens. With a supernova we might have to wait for a few hundreds of years.
Speaking of, when are they gonna fire back up and start collisions again? And whats next on the menu? Emms, still wanna join the forum!!

Well, I'm not much of a chatter, but I'm definitely not a man.
Alene I am so pleased that women do work in a mans world as they put it LOL, they even have a Womens day at CERN so they can celebrate hehe. My dream job is to work there won't happen so I make do with what I do at the Portal hehe.

When I started my first job after college, I was the only female in management. As time went on, the number of women in management increased, so it is greatly improving.
Yep, the same thing in the lab that I was working at (and that I'm tying to go back to). All the managers are men and here I am, a semester away from a bachelors in healthcare administration, and I'll be the first female supervisor in training!!!

It sounds like they're a bit behind the times. There are still companies that have remained with the "good old boy" system. Hopefully your new position will start them moving into the 21st century.
I will understand this when I become a police officer. It's such a male dominated field..there's barely 10 women in the unit right now.
