I found some more stuff about this man named Geoff Stray. I watched some videos of him being interviewed, and he has done a lot of research for decades in to the subject of 2012. He kinda goes along the lines of John Major Jenkins in his theories of a new age enlightenment. What he says isn't really scary, as what John Major Jenkins says isn't really scary. It its mind boggling none-the-less though. Regardless, my point is that while he seems like a proponent of sorts of changes in 2012, I found it interesting that he has done a lot of work to debunk Geryl and a couple others.
"Geryl and Cotterell Theories Shown to be Wrong
Geoff Stray has debunked Patrick Geryl's theory, which in The Orion Prophecies and The World Cataclysm in 2012 supposedly shows the Long Count encodes a sunspot megacycle that will cause polar shift and crustal displacement in 2012. (See pages 150-154 of Stray's book, Beyond 2012: Catastrophe or Awakening?. He does the same for the "data" and theory upon which Geryl bases his own theory, that of Maurice Cotterell and Adrian Gilbert inThe Mayan Prophecies."
So one of the leading global enlightenment proponents who seems to have a great deal of knowledge about Mayan and other prophecies has done a good bit of work to discredit Gerly. I don't know, it is kind of confusing when even the people who believe in change say that Geryl is wrong.
