I am really scared over this, and everyone keeps talking about it!! I have three kids and all I can think about is what will happend on 2012!!!!! Can anyone please tell me why the president won't have a speech over this, and put an end to this hoax it would really help alot of people out!!

The president has no obligation to do so, since they are too busy with other stuff. This is a work for scientists and the very critical thinking.
But, well, if the want to it would be nice, but the conspirators wouldn't let the government in peace.

A. Get money off of people so they can buy "Doomsday Shelters" and their books.

B. Just to scare people for their own benefit. In other words, trolls. These are usually found in discussion forums with a bunch of psychopaths believing this sort of thing.

It's really not as widespread as you think. I've never met a single person who's even heard of it. The vast majority of the world's population have either never heard of it or know better than to pay attention to nutcases.

For the same reason that the president doesn't feel the need to speak out about other fringe beliefs such as UFOs, NWO, Area 51 and the Flying Spaghetti Monster. He has much more important things on his plate.

First very unwise because it feeds the trolls and the 2012 hoaxers even more. Doing this would give free publicity to the scam artists.

Personally, if I were president, then I would declare 2012 hoaxers: terrorists. Because that is what they do, terror people with doom stories. Wrecking innocent lives.

I have never known of a president giving a speech about a silly hoax. They are usually to busy with real problems to spend their time on hoaxes. Several well known scientists have made videos debunking the 2012 nonsense though, astrophysicist Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson, NASA Sr. Scientist Dr. Davis Morrison, and Dr. Don Yeomans of the NASA/JPL NEO Program. It is always better to listen to actual scientists than to scientifically impaired screwballs making up impossible scenarios of doom just to separate you from your money.

Absolutely. Presidence are simply too busy playing golf and eating juicy steak.

However, as Tomy said, the President has absolutely no obligation to involve himself in matters such as these, the only time he's obligated is when it begins to affect the national security, or if it threatens to turn into a nation-wide riot, which I believe falls under the national security section.

It looks like the case of too much of TV viewing and especially the horror shows. Also, It appears the scenario when someone begins to believe in something which is a lie actually but have been spoken about very loudly.

Why president needs to speak on this. There is no need and it is not required. If he begins to do that, he would need to pay attention to many other theories which have already bitten dust.

For you, Take it easy. Everything you have read about Doomsday of 2012 is false. There are many logical reasons why all those theories are false. Go around this site, it has many answers.

Exactly. Look what happened with NASA. They used David Morrison for deny this hoax and now the doomsayers are all over this, whether lying saying that NASA proved 2012 or claiming NASA's cover up.
