Also I read that Nasa warned everyone back in 2006 about a big storm that will happen in 2013 that could really hurt the power grid. But I also read somewhere else that it will be weak. Can someone help me with this?

The 2006 report was from old data. At that time they thought that the next solar maximum was going to be a strong one. Newer data indicates that it will be weaker than average. So they weren't giving out deliberately false information. They were working with what they had available at the time.

It is like weather prediction. The closer you get to the date the better the prediction becomes.
