Hey y'all. I have a friend on FB that has been urging me to read "The Four Agreements" by don Miguel Ruiz. I went to his page and see where he talks about 2012 being "the return of the truth". What's the deal with it and what is he saying will happen??

Those are the key words used? Look up Nibiru on the left and discover it is a hoax.

As for Miguel Ruiz, he is a fake. He is not Maya nor anything he claims. So whatever he says about the Maya 2012 is not from a Mayan point of view. Ruiz is another New Ager who has capitalised on the Native American desires of people. I have read his books and they are based more on Carlos Castandra (sp) than anything Mayan. And Castandra was a con artist.

From what I got from him was he's one of the crazies pushing a time of enlightenment. Nothing earth-ending…just a new peaceful age. My friend believes everything he says…..

Well that's where most new agers stand on the 2012 thing. Some however say that if you don't know how to "evolve" shall i say you'll perish. I'm around a lot of new agers and most of them are the nicest or most intellegent people at least not the one's I know. They are usually after money or are pushing there religion so to say. This guy was just jumping on the 2012 claims for media time I would'nt believe him.

Some people will continue believing the new age silliness until 2012 is past and we are the same as we were before. For the most part, I consider it pretty much harmless nonsense. But those claiming that you'll perish if you don't know how to evolve can scare some of the more gullible people. This is, of course, utterly absurd. No one knows how to evolve. It's just another way to take your money.
