why does everyone think they are going to die in their generation?
Read this link I posted in your other thread. http://www.abhota.info/end1.htm What I meant by that is that people are superstitious and try to predict things that they can not predict, and have always done it as you can say at the website I gave you a link to. They were always wrong before, and they are wrong now.

We don't have to know when the final day will come. I think we still have a lot of time until this day, but some people are just idiots and wanna know when it will happen. Actually, it's not a dumb thing to do, it's pretty cool. The earliest civilizations were already thinking about the end of times. They were the first doomsayers, and they had their misses about the apocalypse day just like we they are having today with the 2012 myth.
I can't say for certain why every generation thinks theirs will be the last. Some people can't imagine that the world could go on after they are gone. I think more of them are so naive and uninformed that they fall for any crazy claim they hear.
Many of the past doomsdays were inspired by religious beliefs.
This particular one has gone wild bedause of the internet, YouTube, and the Hysteria Channel.
We /are/ going to die in our generation. Each and every single one of us.
When? Who knows, but most of us will likely die at the end of our given lifetimes, being in the 70-100 age range.
But, it's entirely true. You and I will die in our generation. We all do.
… Oh wait, did you mean all at the same time?
Naaaaah.
I don't mind what Moo said. I think it's important for people to at least ponder on what's going to happen once their body shuts down. I'd like to think it doesn't just stop there and that i'd get to meet all my interesting ancestors, and that i can be with the family i know forever.
As much as my reasoning pulls me away from that, i won't rule it out. That's my only salvation from Nibiru, or whatever other piece of galactic junk becomes Nibiru, once the original doesn't fulfill it's destiny.
Hey Tom,
You don't need any salvation from Nibiru because it doesn't exist. Its described orbit simply isn't possible. Also, it would have been clearly visible for several years if it existed and was going to be here next year.
There's nothing wrong with pondering on what happens when you die, but you can't be sure of your idea of meeting and mingling with your ancestors. You mentioned that your mum would be sad. Actually, it would go way past that. She would be devastated and would spend the rest of her life feeling guilty and thinking she could have done something to prevent it.
There is absolutely no evidence to even suggest that 2012 will be anything other than an ordinary year.
