Yes I think they go on there for reassurance. They don't want scientific answers… They want regular Joe's to get on and say "I ain't worried!" Which I can also understand. Goofy, but I can understand where they are coming from.
The question that baffles me (I have seen it a lot lately) is a lot of people are asking for "PSYCHICS ONLY!" to comment. Their question is almost always about 2012, and they wonder what is going to happen. Almost everyone who answers immediately calls them an idiot, but I have read a few people who claim they sense things say they feel nothing. One lady said that she feels it will be a period of 'awakening' for mankind. I think the last one is hocus pocus.
I don't believe in 'psychics' (especially on Y!A) but I do believe that certain people are sensitive. My family has always been sensitive to certain things (every once in a blue moon) that they would have no way of knowing, (even knowing of future events, insignificant events, but still in the future)… I think that anyone who claims to have psychic visions or whatnot of earth-changing events 2012 is full of it! On the other hand, perhaps if something large were going to happen, all 'sensitive' folks would 'feel' it… All folks I know personally who have been sensitive to this kind of stuff definitely believe 2012 is hogwash.
