The series of events and recent Japan disaster looks a trailer of 2012 movie. Is these events man made or a earth disaster? Why does it happens frequently now?
What "series of events?" The earthquake in Japan was a natural, inevitable occurrence, and it was neither the first nor last of its kind. With possible exception to some La Niña- and ocean-warming-induced storms, we aren't having any more disasters now than we've had on average at any time on record. As Gary explains above, earthquakes — sometimes massive earthquakes that kill many people and cause terrible destruction — are just a consequence of living on a geologically active planet.

How do we survive if such events happens in large scale (say in a continent)?
Do you mean an earthquake that causes destruction across an entire continent? While every large earthquake affects the entire planet in subtle ways (unnoticeable to us except in precise calculations), nothing like that has ever been recorded. Worrying about it is right up there with "What if an asteroid lands on my house?" You should always keep a supply of water, lighters, nonperishable food and other provisions for emergencies. Preparing for the mother of all earthquakes that has almost no chance of happening in your lifetime? I don't know how you might prepare for that, and in any case, your resources will likely serve you better when directed elsewhere. Life is too short to spend it wallowing in hysteria.
