lets make a list shall we? even the ones that hardly anybody has heard of :)
Hey, you named three of my favorites! I see people talking about the bad science, particularly in Armageddon, but I don't watch movies for scientific information. I just enjoy them.
Armageddon is good. 2012 is horrible only because of its social consequences; the disaster scenes in it are great.
28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later are two of my favorite. Blasphemously, I enjoyed the Dawn of the Dead remake, but I don't really care for the original. The War of the Worlds remake is great, in spite of Tom Cruise. 12 Monkeys is a great film, though the apocalypse aspect of it is mostly implied and discussed, not shown. I also like the Resident Evil movies.
Zombieland! hehe.
I remember when every girl in middle school swooned over the animal cracker scene in Armageddon.

Speaking of that… movie… Here is a really hilarious video I found. These guys call themselves "how it should have ended" and animate how the movie at hand SHOULD have ended. They did 2012 and it's great… Warning… It spoils the whole thing. LOL!
