Ugh. Stop being afraid of things like this.
No, seriously. Did you bother to read the link bikenbeer gave you, or are you actually that afraid of the 'truth'? To sum it up, the Atlantis article given… is bogus. It doesn't even say we found Atlantis. It's pretty much presenting a "What If…" Scenario. What if Atlantis was consumed by a massive Tsunami? Will Japan become the next Atlantis? Or New Orleans?
Pretty much stuff like that. The entire thing involving that noise is a "What If…"
That and Plato said Atlantis was a metaphor and didn't exist, but those are details nobody likes.
As for the rest of it…
…
You know, I can't find a dang thing about it? Godlike Productions bashes the ever living DAYLIGHTS out of it. They believe it's just fear-mongering and a debunking article.
The writer, Tina whatever, is apparently a… questionable lass. She's known for sensational articles *cough*, amongst other things. Not to be taken seriously, really. Regardless, the entire magazine, although not Newsweek itself, is pretty much eyerolled at. It's blatant fearmongering and cashing in the recent events. Nothing more.
That, and the header "How ignorant are you?" sums it up nicely. Just how ignorant ARE you to have purchased the magazine, expecting revelation and signs of the apocalypse?
I wasted a good hour on this. Do your own research, quit being a wuss.
The number of 'questionable' websites I went to is staggering. Betcha my lappy got a virus. Thanks, really. Let Me Not Google Things For You Ever Again.
Flip through the bloody thing next time, instead of posting a stupid cover to us with no information on what was within the article.
PS: The Newsweek sub-group that does this stuff, I think it's called the Daily Beast or some such, is also equally stupid. It's motto is "Read this, skip that". Do the math.
