So I tend to go on Natural News quite a bit, while browsing I found this article today. (http://www.naturalnews.com/032258_economic_collapse_2012.html) ATS apparently picked it up as well, not much but doom and gloom over there. Anyways, my point is.. what do you all think about this article? Are we really transitioning into a new age, or something of the like? A bit freaked out, but nothing serious.

It sounds like a libertarian type blog. Just someone sounding off about how their politics is the answer to our current shitty way of life.

Aside from some very vague references to "freedom" and an equally vague sermon about "bad government," I don't think this guy is pushing libertarianism so much as he's pushing some anti-modernist line. He doesn't speak for any libertarians I know (myself included), though I concede that he might speak for some I don't know.

Even if he has a salient socio-political point to make, he cuts his own throat from the get-go with #1 and #2, and it just falls apart from there.

The article smacks of bias, there are so many cases of "I personally think this is wrong, and so it must lead to the collapse of everything".

Case in point, how often does it talk about GM crops or pollutants? It might as well cut the list in half. How many of those issues were one time events, but suddenly bloated up and used to show how the entirety of something works?

If you want to go in depth on any point, fair enough, I'm sure I could blabber on about them a fair bit, but as a whole I have to say it follows the lines of "I've a personal opinion and anything that doesn't agree with it is bad."
