I have questions about the 2012 issus:
Look, I don't mean to be a jerk, but would it have really been so difficult to use the search function? This thread was created to announce the deletion of another thread. That's it. This board has categories and topics for a reason. Please use them.
The recently discovered 'snap-frozen' plants at the foot of receding glaciers… Apparently these plants were frozen very rapidly and have remained that way for some 12,000 years, this supposedly coincides with the last solstice an the end/begining of the last Mayan calender cycle…
We've gotten this claim before. The people who make it, as is common amongst woo artists, can't seem to find any consistency except on that it supposedly signifies something sinister. Some claim flash-frozen plants were found in Peru. Others claim flash-frozen tropical plants were discovered in Alaska or some such. These alleged events vary from 12,000 to 16,000 to 26,000 years ago or so, depending on which fantasist you talk to. In other words, you're going to have to cite a source.
Rapid geological events have been evidenced in locations that are globally opposite from around the same time as the 'snap-freeze' event…
I repeat: cite a source. The source could potentially clue you in as to the information's reliability.
Regarding the pole shift event that's currently occurring;
There is no evidence that a "pole shift event" is underway. Even if one is happening, humans won't know for decades or centuries.
If you disagree … well, cite a source. That's a recurring theme here, you'll find. In the meantime, see here and here and here.
the tectonic plates float on our planets fluid core, if that fluid is disturbed significantly then the result will be a surface wobble. The surface wobble will disrupt already delicate impact zones between the tectonic plates… What could cause the disruption? Have you ever toyed with simple magnets… tried to push like poles together, they will oppose each other up to a certain point then suddenly want to flip…
That ain't how it works. The poles wander constantly. During a geomagnetic reversal, they will wander a lot over many, many years until eventually orienting into a new north-south configuration. This is not a violent or sudden event.
If you disagree, show me where in the fossil record we have extinctions coinciding with magnetic reverals, and — you guessed it — cite your source.
I did this on a table top but imagine this behaviour in a fluid environment…
And you think that is good science? Why?
whilst the initial shift would be slow I think a certain point will be reached when a rapid flip will occur before slowly re-alligning the poles at opposite positions.
Why?
I think this is a global, even planetary cyclic event and we're approaching the flip point.
Why?
I don't believe everything I see or hear, I like to draw my own conclusions… What will be, will be.
I can't tell you what will be, but I can tell you what will not be: everything you just posted.
Perhaps, if a global catastrophic event occurs, those people vacationing in orbit will be the 'Gods' of future cultures.
Uh, yeah, sure, whatever you say.
Thanks for reading my ponderings.
Something tells me you are yet another poster come here with the intent of promoting your own crank ideas under the guise of asking questions.
But let's throw all of this out the window and get back to the all-important subject:
What does any of this have to do with 2012? Do you have any evidence that these [silly] things you mention can and/or will happen in 2012? If not, why are you posting here?
