Despite the low opinion of Wikipedia that seems to exist on this site, it's self-correcting nature would have prevented any lunatic ideas from remaining on page for very long.
I do use wikipedia to get my orbital parameters in my maths I use here.
But I will cross-check with other sources if I doubt the information I get.
Not all at wikipedia is correct. Once I did add a lot of big content to a wikipedia page with stuff I really knew and had the latest info. And some guy undid the changes because out of some power I think, or maybe it did not fit his believe system. So since then I refused to add anymore new info and the topic is far outdated and contains wrong information when I checked last. But I refuse to add anymore new stuff to wikipedia ever.
The physics topics in wikipedia are way to hard to understand for the simple person. But I refuse to spend any more time on updating the pages because some guy could undo the hard work I put in it because he does not like it and does not understand it.
