You should be familiar with all different zones of survival regardless of where you live, primarily because people travel,
If you travel to some place and have a reasonable expectation of some specific disaster that might befall you while there, then maybe it is prudent to learn about it. Did someone on this site say otherwise?
second if some event took place (natural) like a few volcanoes, or an inverted volcano, theres a good chance for a 'nuclear' style winter for a few years..esp with a caldera.
The chance of that happening in the course of any given lifetime is vanishingly small.
Why deny them a little security.
Again, I challenge you to point out exactly who on this website said people should not prepare for disasters, and point out exactly where he or she said it.
Further, a significant percentage of the people who visit this website aren't looking for security in the sense that they want us to help them prepare, but rather that are scared senseless and want to know if some piece of crackpottery they've come across is true.
I agree there are crackpots, I also think your too quick to dismiss things without really digging into it.
Yet you once again can't provide an example of this happening.
There are some people here who respect Tesla, but fail to realize if Tesla starting with what was already "accepted fact," he would have gotten nowhere.
Ah, so what this is really about is your personal agenda. I see.
I guess it comes down to what kind of person do you want to be…closed or open. Everyon says thier open minded, but only @20% actually are, someones lying to themselves.
Psychological projection, methinks.
If this sight is just a megaphone to express your distaste for doomsday scenarios then it serves little purpose to the public.
Dont dismiss the claims, debunk them. of course you'd actually have to do the legwork and homework for that.
example: Ok Im a guy who heard around the watercooler a bunch of scienctific mumbo jumbo about how the earth would be destroyed by this or that.
GIVE me something more then 'its garbage' or 'psuedoscience" to take back to the water cooler to counter this 'doomsayer'
Maybe you've somehow missed the extensive menu to your left….
I think its wholly inappropriate to demand someone looking for answers to provide YOU with proof.
Of course I'm not talking about the concept I proposed, since I asked for it, but for the others who visit this site…you should have detailed information ready since it seems to be of such a high occurence that your actually bored with discussing it.
Of course all I see is you guys waiting around to celebrate when someone is wrong.
Yet again you make a broad accusation with no example of such a thing actually happening. I refer you again to the extensive menu to your left….
The lamest excuse I've heard?
"its wrong because no one has proven it yet'
Are you capable of addressing what anyone actually says, or are you content to simply argue with your own imagination?
theres a rather large difference between unfounded and wrong.
There is a rather large difference between the propositions "Be ready for earthquakes if you visit California," and "Be ready for solar flares that will end our civilization," — between the propositions "Be ready for volcanic eruptions if you visit an area prone to such activity," and "Be ready for the pole shift when Elenin/Nibiru/Nemesis passes near Earth," — between the propositions "Be ready for tornadoes if you visit the southern or midwestern United States during spring," and "Be ready for our planet to flip over and rotate in the opposite direction."
Any other straw-men you'd like to tackle?
