Okay i didnt know where to ask, and since i know some of you guys in here are astronomers i thought i would ask here.

I need some help. Im tired of borrowing my sisters telescope, first of all because it's impossible to use for me, and because.. Well it's my sisters, and i want my own since im moving away from home.
Anyways, i dont know where i should start looking for a good telescope. I want one able to see Nebulas, and i would very much like it to be able to take pictures.

Can any of you astronomer guys help me here? My budget is around 1.000$ and if you know an online store, please let it be one that ships to Denmark.

Best is second hand.

The cheapest telescopes and easiest to use are dobsonians but you are unable to take photos with it since the is no motor that will guide the telescope and doing it by hand. Also I have a 10 inch dobsonian, a massive thing that barely fits in my car weights 35 kg and you only see nebula or galaxies when there is an extreme clear sky and you only notice it in some fuzzy greyish (your eyes are more sensitive to gray than color).

Normally bigger is better. More receiving light and more sharper images, but lacks transport. Mine is located at a fixed place at my girlfriends place.

I think best is to get to know an amateur astronomy group and ask advice.
One thing I did notice is that you can get cheap second hand telescopes because people buy one but it is too big and they do not use it anymore.

Telescopes with motors use a lot of battery power and are very noisy. You could look on Youtube to hear how much noise they make and how slow they are. With my dobsonian I have a quick setup and extremely easy to point to any location on the sky.

I have a small computer that helps me in finding some objects much faster.
